As a creative director, graphic artist, and interactive media consultant, I’ve helped corporate giants and tiny startups define and establish their brands on and offline since 1997. After graduating from New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program where I investigated online experiential design, I joined the creative department of iVillage, at the time a spunky new media startup on the verge of becoming one of the legends of the dot-com era. As Art Director for the network, I designed and instituted an entirely new corporate identity. That design successfully tied together with a raft of newly acquired properties into a cohesive brand that broke new ground in the nascent women’s online media world. As Associate Creative Director for the company’s Creative Services division, I worked with major advertisers such as Ford Motor Company, Fujifilm, Gillette, and Olay to develop online marketing programs.

After my experience at iVillage, I moved to the Walt Disney Company as the Creative Director for Family.com. At Family, I led a team of designers and photographers in a complete redesign of the Family.com site as well as the company’s logo and identity system. Another significant achievement at Family.com was my renegotiation of dozens of contracts with illustrators and photographers.

Since 2001 I have run my own design consulting business with a client list that contains some of the biggest names in the media landscape, including Time Warner, AOL, The New York Times, Scholastic, Nickelodeon, Rodale, Pearson Education, Disney, and Meredith. I’ve also helped many smaller firms define, develop, and extend their brands on the web, in print, and through package and book design.

In addition to my professional activities, I co-founded Foodchester, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that created and manages Westchester County’s largest and most popular Farmers Market experience. For the last ten years, I have enjoyed teaching digital art and design courses at Westchester Community College.
